Cookie Policy
Last updated April 22, 2026
JournalRadar is built to be local-first. We primarily use browser storage instead of traditional cookies to save your preferences and reading state, and we offer a privacy settings popup so visitors can choose whether optional analytics is enabled.
Storage Technologies We Use
- LocalStorage and IndexedDB for preferences, topics, bookmarks, reading status, and consent choices.
- Supabase storage for synced preferences, topics, and bookmarks when you sign in.
- Supabase Auth session storage when you choose to sign in.
- Temporary browser storage for anonymous AI summary usage limits and consent choices.
- Optional privacy-focused analytics for aggregate measurements when you allow analytics.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled for your visit, we use privacy-focused analytics to understand which pages are used most and to improve performance. It is not used for advertising.
Essential storage remains active because it is required for sign-in, security, and the local-first features you ask the site to remember.
The AI summary feature itself is not enabled or disabled by cookie consent. When you actively request an AI summary or brief Q&A, the request is handled server-side and the relevant data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your Choices
- Clear local data from the Account page.
- Use your browser settings to block or clear storage if desired.
- Reopen Privacy Settings from the footer to review your analytics choice.
